Corelli MusicChristmas music festival: “Church Holidays in the Land of Mary“ 201930th of November 2019 – 6th of January 2020 EFFE Label 2017-2018 by European Festivals Association Miraculous Christmas time filled with beautiful music in churches and music lounges all over Estonia! Once again Corelli Music delights the audience with the Christmas Music Festival “Church Holidays in the Land of Mary” which brings musical experiences throughout the whole holiday period. Praised by the audience the festival has been credited with the quality label “EFFE Label 2017-2018” by European Festivals Association. The patron of the festival is the president of Estonian Council of Churches, Bishop Emeritus Andres Põder.                         OPENING CONCERT. Brilliant and festive music for the beginning of Christmas awaiting - Chorale preludes by Bach, Eben’s compositions for organ and trumpet, fashionably ardent pieces by Stamm etc. "Organ - the king of the instruments" Indrek Vau (trumpet), Piret Aidulo (organ) A concert with a poetic title “Vox Angelorum“  is dedicated to organ as an instrument which resounds in almost every church in the land of Mary. Beautiful sounds of trumpet will add the holidayspark to the grand sonance of organ. Audience can enjoy the oeuvres by great composers from Bach until modern times. The historical organ in Rapla church and lately renovated concert organ in St. Charles’ church allow to play very diversely beautiful music which alongside the sounds of trumpet create a unique harmonic entirety.                                                                        AWAITING CHRISTMAS. Third week of Advent    Sat, 14th of December 2019 at 18 in Kellerteater, TallinnSun, 15th of December 2019 at 18.in Kernu manor, Harju countyCandlelit holiday evenings in the most beautiful venues are back this year!         "Christmas and love"Ka Bo Chan (countertenor)  and Baroque ensemble Corelli Consort on period instruments: Mail Sildos (baroque violin), Tõnu Jõesaar (viola da gamba), Robert Staak (theorb/lute) Christmas and love, the hearty program contains canorous Christmas music and touching love songs by masters of the baroque era. All of it is performed by a little mystical voice countertenor accompanied by mild-sounded baroque instruments. This elegant concert offers wonderful music by Bach, Handel, Gluck, Vivaldi etc.  Love can be divine as well as earthly, it can bring you supreme joys, but also biggest sorrows. Telemann, Corrette, Vivaldi, Charpentier - several compositions by masters of baroque era will be performed for the first time in Estonia! „Magnificat. Messiah. The Four Seasons" Soloists from Latvia and  Ivo Posti (countertenor)Baroque-choir Collegium Choro Musici Riga, Corelli Baroque orchestra on period instruments.Conductor Māris Kupčs (Latvia)   The first  collaboration of Estonian concert agency Corelli Music ja Latvian Early Music Center allows the audience to enjoy an extremely exciting program full of less known music by masters of baroque era. Everyone knows Handel’s “Messiah” and Vivaldi’s “ The four seasons” but this concerts offers you new flavors to enjoy. Top musicians from Tallinna and Riga will perform the 2nd part of “Messiah” by Telemann, Frenchly dazzling suite  „Noëls sur les instruments“ by  Charpentier and Corrette’s oeuvre “Laudate Dominum” for  the soloists, choir and orchestra which bases largely on Vivaldi’s cycle “The four seasons”. Only the opening piece of the concert - Vivaldi’s “Magnificat”, has been played in Estonia before.  FINAL CONCERT.
